My super long, luxurious Thanksgiving weekend
Sean and Jerry getting ready for the Turkey-Day Feast!
Some very "derricious" Asian Basil Seed "drink."
If you like gelatinous beverages that look like tadpole eggs, this is the thirst-quencher for you!
A fraction of my awesome "girl cousins" at our post-Thanksgiving "girl cousin lunch"!
From left to right: Grace (my niece, not my cousin), Hilary, Rachel (also not my cousin, but my seester), Emily (my cousin, Hilary's sister), Aylie, and Lexie. We're only missing Marlyn (oldest cousin), Caitrin (Aylie's sister) and Zowie (Lexie's sibling).
Not too shabby?
Sean and I stayed after the "girl cousin lunch" for this picture-esque day-after-Thanksgiving-family tree-decorating session (my sister's family generously let us latch onto them for this one.)
This photo was taken post-decor.

Later, we put up "our" (courtesy of Sean's mom's attic) super sweet vintage aluminum tree.
Elvis' Christmas Album spun on the turn table.
I hung a disco ball on one of the dozens of tinsel covered "branches" for what I thought was the perfect touch:
Pretty sweet, right? It doesn't have the natural piny scent I love, but I dig it in all its super-shiny, non-needle-dropping, reflective-epicness.
To polish off the extravagant, food, family and festive-cheer-centric five-day weekend, I set up my new "toys" for my soon-to-be-all-mine house, prompted largely by my mom's generous early birthday present:
My very own 32" Toshiba flat screen and super sweet Wi-Fi capable Blu-Ray player (a long-awaited gift to myself) sitting atop my new "Danish" TV stand courtesy of my mother (it was manufactured in Denmark, so that's why I can get away with calling it Danish. But it's really an assemble-yourself piece from Target's Re-Style line. I think it's reminiscent of a Danish mod-design though... don't you?)
And finally, my super sweet new shower curtain and bath mat (also courtesy of mi madre).
Seriously, I know they may be just commonplace bath accessories to you, but to me, they are the the world.
These new housewares (in conjunction with lots of downtime due to 5 days off of work) prompted me to deep-clean, re-organize, purge, install, replace and caulk.
My house be pimpin' now, yo!
