So, after concluding my 365 Day Project on Feb. 22, I was pretty proud of myself for not immediately fizzling out on the blog thing by posting two non POTD photos within a week of wrap up.
I was totally all like, "go me!"
But then, the inevitable happened.
I saw it coming, and I didn't even really try to stop it.
After not forcing myself to take photos daily, I ended up not taking photos at all.
I reverted back to my old ways prior to the 365-day project of only taking pictures for work and on special occasions.
Maybe it was a subconcious rebellion. Maybe just a little break from my camera.
Who knows.
Regardless, the first special occasion I hit during my photo-legarthgy (aside from two delicious vegan meals and a trip to Wolfhaven) has prompted me to get back into doin' the damn thing.
So here you go - my first post-worthy photo taken since Eddie jumped on old' greeny back in February:
Mamma Jannypant's surprise birthday dinner at her favorite restaurant, Azteca (by the mall, in case you were wondering. Everyone who was invited to the party had to ask for clarification as to where Azteca was, so I'm just throwing that out there now. I am still baffled as to why this phenomenon occurred, but I digress.)
Anywhoo,
Jim was finally able to pull Mom off the couch and out of her sweatpants last Friday, and dragged the begrudging guest of honor to the place where we (meaning Mom's kids, grandkids and parents) were waiting on the edge of our seats with anticipation, and with cheesy birthday decorations (OK, maybe I was the only one on the edge of my seat... I LOVE birthdays, especially surprising ones!)
PROJECT SURPRISE: SUCCESS!
At the end of the day, I think she was happy she didn't stay home and play Mah Jong.
