365 Day Project - Day 283

Courtnay wanted me to take a picture of her and her cats to send to some friends for Christmas cards....
I agreed, not realizing that is really not as easy as it sounds.
First we had to grab the cats. The "weird one" (Rio, left) first, and then the "normal one" (Cedo, right) second. But even the "normal one" was acting unusually weird, and it was obvious they did not want to cooperate with the "photo shoot."
After several attempts of corralling, and then getting the cats to relax enough to not look completely freaked out (or in Rio's case, nearly decapitated) we finally got a decent one where everyone looks moderately calm, and slightly willing to pose for a nice, family portrait.

What I've posted here is not that shot, but is represents the truly hilarious challenge we encountered while getting to the final product.
It  also pretty much makes Court the new poster child for the thousands of other "Crazy Cat Ladies" of the world.

Merry Christmas!

365 Day Project - Day 154

Tuxedo Bandito

I am most certainly a tried and true "dog person" but I have a soft spot in my heart for the two wacky cats I share a home with. I don't have to clean the litter box, sleep with them, or love them if I don't want to, but every once in a while, I enjoy their company.

Pictured here is Tuxedo "Cedo" Cavanagh. He is my roommate Courtnay's oldest cat. He's big, he's lazy and he is a crowd-pleaser. His adopted brother is Rio. Rio is a spaz, but at about four years old I think he is finally beginning to acclimate to the wide world around him. Truthfully, I think Rio is my favorite because he's so incredibly "off."
You can expect to be seeing him at some point during the next 211 days.

365 Day Project - Day 96

Court!

We've been friends since kindergarten. FOR REALZ! now we live together. we're very different people but thrive off of each others' similarities. sometimes she drives me crazy because she does things that i dont "get" and i do the same to her. but one thing we can agree on is that we  can't imagine my life without eachother.

*this photo was taken at a chain coffee shop on a super lazy, rainy Memorial Day weekend.
