Life at the Top of Tacoma
The Top of Tacoma Bar and Cafe has received a lot of positive attention in its short, three-years of operation.
Most recently, Weekly Volcano readers voted it "The Best Bar in Tacoma" and it is currently in third place in the running for King 5's "The Best in Western Washington."
And while it is great to see my favorite haunt receive so much deserved attention from the throughout the region, I have, and always will have, a very special place in my heart for this bar.
Because it is so much more than just a bar; in a lot of ways it's like home (and I mean that in the least barfly-esque way possible.)
But seriously...
The food?
Homemade from scratch- just like Grandma used to make.
The drinks?
Honestly poured and honestly priced.
The company?
Think "Cheers."
There's always a friend or two (or twenty) around, and always new ones to be made.
The memories?
Way too many to count, but they always include friendship, laughter and love.
But most importantly,
Owners Jaime and Jason Jones (and the rest of the staff) treat us all like family, which is why a trip to the Top is always like coming home...
