Grace "the athlete"
Here's my favorite niece, Grace, who pretty much can do - and does - anything her energetic, intelligent little 11-year-old self dreams up.
She's a writer, a photographer, a blogger, a musician, a great big sister, and now, she's executing perfect serves on her school's volleyball team.
(I KNOW!)
So here she is! Cute as a button and stunningly gorgeous as always...
And here's the "before" shot, prior to working my portrait-enhancing-magic in Photoshop:
I adjusted the levels to bring the light onto the foreground, added two duplicate layers that I blended with "screen" adjustment and "soft light" (both at about 50 percent), upped the contrast and the saturation a tad more, sharpened with the "Smart Sharpen" filter, cropped and viola!
My beautiful niece Grace is picture perfect - even in the usually unflattering school gym light :)

Wow! She's multi talented huh? Very pretty niece you have there! Reminds me of my niece..she is a cheerleader and I went to one of the games she cheered at and you're right..gym light IS unflattering..but none of my images turned out even HALF as good as your SOOC!
