My favorite mountain!
Today I took my first trip to Mount Rainier - EVER!
I admire this mountain almost every day from afar, drink its beer, go to its minor league games (on occasion) but I had never actually visited this beautiful volcano. (And yes, I was born and raised in Tacoma).
It's just turned into one of those things that I've always wanted to do, but never got around to - until today!
We only got to tour a small portion of the park (Landmire and a bit of Paradise) but I will certainly be going back (possibly even next weekend because apparently admission to the park lasts a whole week...)
Anyways, here's a small taste of the sights we took in on yet another hot and sunny summer day:

So the moral of this blog post is:
go to Mount Rainier if you haven't been, and go back if you have!

Beautiful pictures Clare! I cannot believe you had not been there!! I miss it -we have several mountains we can see here (7) and that is nice but they just cannot top the sight of Mt Rainier!!
